ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΊΑ ΚΑΙ ΠΌΡΟΙ

A meeting between ERMES team and Italian farmers was held on 17^th November 2016 on IREA’s premises.

The End-users explained in detail which ERMES products they exploited during the 2016 rice season and how they were useful for them.In particular. ERMES constant pattern maps were used to guide the pre-sowing fertilization while the seasonal pattern maps were used to guide the top-dressing Nirogen fertilization (see below for an example).

In short, the meeting confirmed the ERMES products suitability for precision agriculture applications, and allowed ERMES researchers to gain useful feedback regarding possible improvements in information dissemination and exploitation.
