ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΊΑ ΚΑΙ ΠΌΡΟΙ

ERMES project will be presented by Boschetti M. during the 4th International Rice Congress (IRC2014). It will take place from 27th October to 1st November 2014 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Congress theme is “Rice for the World”. IRC is the largest conference and exhibition of the international rice scientific research community and industry.

Mirco Boschetti (CNR-IREA and ERMES coordinator) will take part in the Congress presenting the ERMES project in two moments. On Thursday 30^th October 2014 he will introduce ERMES during the “IRC poster session 05. Technology targeting & policy” presenting a poster titled “ERMES: an Earth Observation model based rice information service”.

The following day, Friday 31st October, Boschetti will participate to the IRC2014 “Symposium on remote sensing for food security” with the presentation titled “An automatic approach to analyse optical satellite imagery time series for rice monitoring and status assessment: applications in yield estimation in Senegal and rapidd assessment on typhoon damages in Philippines”. The method described in the presentation is the basis for the production of phenological ERMES products.
