The Forest Management and Remote Sensing Lab is one of the 18 Laboratories of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment. It carries out pre- and post-graduate teaching and is involved in research on land use/cover mapping, environmental resource management, environmental risk/impact assessment, landscape ecology, land degradation assessment, and forest-fire management using Remote Sensing, GIS, and Decision Support Systems.
Responsibilities and Activities within ERMES
Leader of WP 4 dedicated to “Services design through analysis of requirements”. AUTH will coordinate the definition of data requirement , the integration of “ERMES data archives” and contribute to the definition of processing chain for local service . AUTH will coordinate the activities to realize EO-product at local scale. Finally, AUTH is dedicated to the supervision of Greek regional and local case study collaborating with DEMETER in the acquisition of field data and test the service.
