(English) Deliverable 3.4 – ERMES services user satisfaction report v1

In the framework of the ERMES project, the interaction with User involves the evaluation of the “Satisfaction” of the activities, products and services provided during the project. Final assessment of the “User satisfaction” was achieved at the end of the second year of demonstration (2016). In detail, the activities focused on:
  • Continuous interaction with Users to describe products meaning and to support the exploitation of the products in their operation workflow,
  • Customization of the “Evaluation Form”, taking into account hint/comments given with the first year of demonstration (2015),
  • Collection of user feedback both in the form of questionnaires and as results from organized User days and bilateral meeting.
According to the DoW, the satisfaction factors coming from the End-user requirements (task 3.1) are expressed in terms of delivery timeliness, quality and service reliability. The possibility to include the service in the Users existing workflow and the Users’ willingness to spend money for ERMES services in the future were also evaluated. Important aspect related to user expectation vs perceived/existing barriers (technical and practical) were also assessed. In summary, the deliverable include: I) A description of the strategy adopted by the consortium to interact with Users in order to have their feedback on the second year demonstration (Section 1); II) An overall synthesis of the obtained feedback received by user useful to i) analyse the interest in the proposed services/product, ii) assess maturity of proposed services and iii) understand the value of project results also in the framework of business exploitation (Section 2); III) A detailed report of the evaluation activities conducted for the demonstration of ERMES product/services provided to European (Section 3) and West Africa users (Section 4). For each users it is provided: a) recap of User’s interest in ERMES services and a summary of the exploited products, b) a summary of the User evaluation form template and feedbacks given during bilateral meetings or open days, and c) a “l Lessons learnt” from two year of demonstration and future scenario.

III) report of the status of the activities conducted in the tree countries to assess User satisfaction and summary of the results IV) Lesson learnt: comments and highlight of i) product/service exploitability, ii) user interest in the actual tools/product and iii) future scenario

Task 3.3: Project information for user data protection Within the ERMES project Ethical Issues are related to the tracking of human subjects, and the collection of personal data. Actions to face ethics issues have been outlined in the deliverable D1.11 Ethical Issue Documents and managed under the Management Work Package (WP1).

The current document contains a list of actions that need to carry out in order to improve the deliverable 3.1 by reorganizing and extending the local case study for each of the three consortium countries. Further activities have been carried out towards the identification and collection of the user requirements for the development of the service and products of the ERMES project. Furthermore, it describes the local studies of two West African countries, which were identified as potential candidates to deploy the ERMES service in order to be tested in countries and cases outside Europe.

Within the ERMES project Ethical Issues are related to the tracking of human subjects, and the collection of personal data. The document proposed standard forms for “Participant Information and Informed consent form” by which a competent subject voluntarily confirms his/her willingness to take part in the research project ERMES, and Data usage information sheet consisting in a description on how given inputs will be used in the project, and procedures to be adopted for ensuring data protection/confidentiality/privacy including duration of storage of personal data.

Task 3.8: Service level agreement. In the framework of the ERMES project, a Service Level Agreement (SLA) will have to be signed between each ERMES end-user and the Service Provider. This document contains a summary table indicating the status of the stipulation of the Service Level Agreement between the ERMES consortium and each ERMES user. The original signed SLA are kept by the administrations of partners signatory of the agreement.
