ERMES project meets ENTE RISI for the first official delivery of the project’s Italian maps
On the 17th of July 2015 CNR IREA and Sarmap met Ente Nazionale Risi, one of the main ERMES Italian end-user, to discuss together around the rice data collected by the researchers and the maps produced on the Italian study area during 2015, as foreseen by the project's agreement.

A new series of SPOT (Take5) images is now available for the Italian ERMES study area
The Italian researchers of ERMES project are receiving by CNES and ESA some SPOT (Take5) satellite images centred on the Lomellina area, which represents the ERMES Italian study area.

Known as Sentinel-2a, the satellite was sent up on last 23rd June 2015 from Kourou in French Guiana. The mission will return pictures of the planet's surface in visible and infrared light.

The Italian rice District meets the ERMES project: discussion on June 2015 satellite maps
On the 12th June 2015 three representative farmers from Lomellina rice District (Italian study area) met some italian ERMES project researchers. They discussed around a series of satellite WorldView2 images acquired by the researchers on last 4th June. The images described the NDVI index related to the rice fields of the 3 selected farms which represent part of the areas monitored by ERMES in the italian local study area... Read more
